The current hot ticket item is Fiesta 2009. Fun filled days that create memories that last a lifetime. Plan your stay in San Antonio around this event and you won't be disappointed. You'll be amazed at how long this party lasts.  Parades, food, drinks and all sorts of spin off events happen during this crazy party. Want family fun, check out the river parades, street parades and downtown events. There is NIOSA which brings you all the great food that includes chalupas, chicken and beef fajitas, turkey legs and more. Parking can be a pain so use the VIA park and ride. (see here for park & ride locations).

This Weeks Place to Visit - Natural Bridge Caverns

Hall of the mountain King

Many people visit the most obvious attractions during their brief stay in the great city of San Antonio. There are a few not so obvious locations that will leave a lasting impression. This week's spotlight goes to Natural Bridge Caverns.  This place rocks! From the waiting deck, you look down and don't realize that it keeps going and going. My first time visiting this site, I was truly amazed at the depth and magnitude of this cave system. This is very family oriented location. It has many other attractions other than the cave system. There are parks, gift shop, restaurant. You have to buy tickets on site or via their website; all tours leave at a designated time.  Try to buy tickets in advance so you won't be waiting for your tour time to come up. Sometimes, you can be waiting a few hours.
